At this years Basel show Swiss watchmaker Concord presented some new models from their C1 edition. Most of all I liked Biretrograde watch. These most expensive watches include a double retrograde complication that combines the date and day of the week week, in a world in which engineering and design battle for precedence. Cut from platinum or rose gold, the C1 Biretrograde leaves nothing to chance. Exploiting the brand’s emblematic construction concept, it offers a bold and contemporary display of time time.

Driven by a Concord C101 automatic movement, the C1 Biretrograde is a symbol of excellence released in a limited edition of just 50 platinum and 150 rose-gold versions. The model boasts an imposing case that combines various materials and a transparent multi-layered dial. The structure is strengthened by three screws, which add to the personality of the timepiece. The retrograde date and day indicators, positioned at 4 and 7 o’clock respectively, trace perfectly symmetrical arcs. Concord C1 Biretrograde watch comes with black vulcanized rubber with folding clasp in 18 ct gold strap.

Most expensive car: $1.83 million GTbyCitroen

Citroen has launched their new limited edition most expensive car. As rumors claim only 15 or 20 GTbyCitroen are offered at an exclusive price of $1.83 million (£1.1 million). Citroen cooperated with the developers of the Gran Turismo video game franchise last year in Paris.

Firstly Citroen displayed a real life model of this beauty at last year’s Paris Auto Salon and after seeing the great response the car garnered they have decided to put this car into production. Citroen took the concept on a drive around London last week, and has since confirmed that it will make the climb up the hill at Goodwood this month.

Summer is a hot wedding season! Keeping on the topic of weddings I’d like to draw your attention to this most expensive wedding dress from Vietnam. This unique dress is decorated with with 222 diamonds and 100 red rubies. It was created by Vietnam fashion designer Huy Vo and was presented at the Ruby Plaza trading centre in Hanoi some days ago.

The gemstone-made flower on the gown has 22 big rubies and 8 big diamonds. A big water drop-shaped ruby that symbolizes love has been used for the pistil. It took 40 days to complete this unique bridal gown. The total time spent included 56 hours for idea and production, 240 hours for selecting and processing gemstones, and 24 hours for fixing gemstones to the gown. On June 30, the first runner-up in Miss Vietnam 2008 will wear this unique dress. Price: $117,000.

Wow! Some years ago we couldn’t expected to see something like this. Earlier Mac Funamizu has designed Mac-like clear computers. This time I was amazed to hear about concept of the new Mac Funamizu luxury phone that is totally glass clear!

Mac Funamizu phones designed in Tokyo come with transparent screen and keys, simply beautiful and amazing. But all are still under concept. I think your fingerprints would have to be cleaned off so often, but anywhere I’d like to have one like these gorgeous phones.

Try to guess where appeared the world’s most expensive CD ever! I think you wouldn’t be surprised to now that such CD was made in Japan well-known for producing lots of luxury goods on any taste. It is priced at $100,000 USD and comes in platinum case studded with 10 2ct diamonds. Nagahori Jewelers of Tokyo worked with Universal Music to release “Woman, Sweet 10 Diamonds” CD with 18 songs by female singers.

The worlds most expensive CD went on sale at the Takashimaya department store at Nihonbashi. The CD without the platinum case and diamonds can be found at Amazon for just a bit cheaper at 1,980 yen. Sankei reports that the publisher of the CD Universal Music is trying to get the CD into the Guinness Book O Records.

At this years BaselWorld Tag Heuer presented anniversary Tag Heuer Monaco LS watches to celebrate the original Tag Heuer Monaco 40th birthday. Tag Heuer Monaco 360 LS concept version has several aspects of the cool Monaco 360 and Monaco V4 concepts from the past years. These most expensive watches have basic Dubois Depraz calibre so that the seconds, shown in a linear date opening, can be read linearly from the tip of a double red rhodium hand.

The dial features the translucent embossed numerals, the dials and the angled date opening are voice and counter-voice in a black, deliberately hi-tech song sheet. The 40.5 mm case, waterproof down to 100 m, simply had to be made of polished or brushed stainless steel, and its ergonomic shape is achieved thanks to the generously curved and sapphire glass. Black alligator bracelet with a folding clasp adds a classically elegant gloss to the avant-garde look whilst the stainless steel strap, with its unique micro-adjustment device, underlines the futuristic look. Price: $18,000. The most expensive watch will be available in limited edition of only 500 pieces.
